By riding this route, you will reach the easternmost point in Lithuania. Did you know that the people of Ignalina are the first to see the rising sun in Lithuania? Or rather, the residents of VosiĆ«nai village. We invite you to see for yourself. When starting this route, for good luck, first give a „five“ to the cyclist in the Ignalina town square. As you continue, you will see beautiful landscapes, several authentic manors with interesting histories, you will have the opportunity to walk through the Kukutėliai street ethnographic village, and admire the Birvėta ponds, where a protected area has been established – the Birvėta Biosphere Reserve (photographers love to visit here). Maybe you will also manage to capture a beautiful or rare bird? And finally, while riding, you will reach the easternmost area of Lithuania near the villages of Rimaldiškės and VosiĆ«nai.

Attention: when traveling on this route, have an identity document with you, as the border with Belarus is very close.
